Application Process

Step 1

Download the application.

Step 2

Fill out the application form and send it back to us at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Include a recent picture and copy of your Passport.

Step 3

We send you 2-3 family profiles to review and choose between them. Profiles include rent prices, location, and amenities specific to these families.

Step 4

Confirm your participation by paying the 400-real fee for the homestay service. Pay by credit card or international bank transfer. Visit this page to donate. Afterwards, email your confirmation number.

Step 5

Receive the contact information of your preferred family and call or email them to discuss the details of the homestay. Make sure you agree on rules, special requests, etc.

Step 6

Arrive in Rio and start your homestay. On the day of your arrival, pay the first month's rent to the family in cash.
